Sea Mist Green ran fourteen years, 1991 to 2005, and it's one of the palest greens Fiesta has made - a soft mint that reads almost as a neutral in daylight. It arrived a full twenty-two years after the previous green, Turf Green, which tells you how completely the palette had been rebuilt after the relaunch. It's a genuinely useful color to own: light enough to work as a ground, green enough to count as color. Nothing currently in production sits especially close to it, which is part of why it still gets hunted.
Using Sea Mist Green on a table
Sea Mist Green has enough color to be noticed without taking over, which makes it a good second or third piece - a salad plate or a serving bowl rather than the whole setting. At L* 84 it is one of the paler glazes in the line: dark food reads sharply against it, pale food much less so. It nearly disappears against a white cloth (1.5:1), so it shows best on dark wood or a colored runner.
