Evergreen ran three years, 2007 to 2010, and it's one of the darkest greens in the line - deep enough that it reads almost black-green in anything but direct light. It arrived just as Fiesta was moving into bakeware and lifestyle ranges, where a darker, more serious color made sense. The contrast with Shamrock, which it overlapped, is stark: nearly ΔE 46 apart, which is about as far as two colors in the same family get. Jade, introduced in 2023, is the closest thing currently in production if you want that depth without hunting.
Using Evergreen on a table
Evergreen is soft enough to sit beside almost anything. It works as a bridge between two stronger colors that would otherwise argue. At L* 24 it is a genuinely dark plate, so pale food stands out on it and dark food disappears. It separates strongly from a white cloth (11.5:1) and less so from dark wood.
