Introducing Daffodil, made by The Fiesta Tableware Company from 2017 to current production. It's a bright and cheerful shade of yellow, reminiscent of the sunny blooms of daffodil flowers. Daffodil adds a burst of energy and warmth to any tablescape. Mix and match Daffodil with colors like Ivory and Lemongrass for a vibrant and summery table setting, or pair it with Plum and Poppy for a more dynamic and festive combination.

Daffodil arrived in 2017 and is still in production, taking over yellow duty from Marigold. It's a bright, clean yellow with enormous saturation - one of the most vivid glazes in the line - and it's noticeably sharper than the Sunflower it eventually outlived. It arrived the same year Claret and Tangerine both retired. Being very light and very saturated makes it tricky: dark food looks spectacular against it, pale food vanishes. It's the closest current color to the vintage Antique Gold, only about ΔE 5 away, which makes it useful for extending a late-vintage table.
Using Daffodil on a table
Daffodil carries enough color to lead a table on its own. Use it for the plates and let quieter pieces do the rest; two or three settings of it go a long way. At L* 81 it is one of the paler glazes in the line: dark food reads sharply against it, pale food much less so. It nearly disappears against a white cloth (1.6:1), so it shows best on dark wood or a colored runner.
