Ivory ran sixteen years, 2008 to 2024, which makes it one of the most common retired colors - you'll have no trouble finding it. It's a warm cream, distinctly yellower than White, and it was the everyday neutral for most of the 2010s. It's also the middle of a confusing trio: Old Ivory from 1936, Ivory from 2008, and Linen from 2025 all sit within a few ΔE of each other. Linen, which arrived the year after Ivory retired, is effectively its replacement and is slightly cooler. If you have Ivory and want to extend a set, Linen is the natural continuation.
Using Ivory on a table
Ivory is soft enough to sit beside almost anything. It works as a bridge between two stronger colors that would otherwise argue. At L* 92 it is one of the paler glazes in the line: dark food reads sharply against it, pale food much less so. It nearly disappears against a white cloth (1.2:1), so it shows best on dark wood or a colored runner.
