Linen arrived in 2025 and is still in production, taking over as the warm neutral after Ivory retired the year before. It's a light cream, slightly cooler and more muted than Ivory was. The thing worth knowing: it sits only ΔE 3 from Old Ivory, one of the original 1936 colors - which makes Linen the closest thing you can currently buy to the neutral Fiesta launched with ninety years ago. If you're building a vintage-look table with modern pieces, that's a genuinely useful fact. As a ground color it takes any accent you put on it.
Using Linen on a table
Linen carries almost no color of its own, so it is the layer everything else sits on. Build the table out of it and add one loud piece. At L* 91 it is one of the paler glazes in the line: dark food reads sharply against it, pale food much less so. It nearly disappears against a white cloth (1.3:1), so it shows best on dark wood or a colored runner.
